A silent disco headset hire package (without a DJ) usually comprises of 3 parts;
- Specially designed silent disco headphones (usually rented in packs of 25, 50, 100 headsets etc.) which can receive multiple channels of DJ audio at the same time
- Headphone transmitters (one required for each channel of audio you wish to send to the headsets, usually a maximum of 3)
- Audio accessories, such as connectors, cables, instructions and headphone recharging units

If you hire your headphone party from a great hire company (like us), you can be assured that you and your guests will experience excellent audio quality and your headsets will arrive fresh and clean, and fully working. A great headphone supplier will offer everything ‘out of the box’. This is really important if you’re planning a smaller party or a larger club night, in your silent party rental box you should find audio connectors for DJ mixing desks (RCA phono leads) or 3.5mm headphone output adaptors for smartphones, tablets and laptops.
Some silent disco headphone rental packages include headsets that are rechargeable, so again a good rental service will supply a healthy number of recharging units in your package.

If you’re a UK customer you can use our online silent disco rental shop to browse headphones, pick your hire dates and book the party kit you want in a matter of minutes.
Once we’ve received your headphone party order, we’ll approve it (or not) within 24-36 hours and will let you know at the earliest convenience. Nice and simple.
Our online shop means that you can easily reserve and pay for your silent party kit in a matter of minutes (UK customers).
All our silent disco party rental orders are subject to our terms and conditions of rental and are at our discretion. VAT isn’t applicable to any hire prices you see on Place Over Ears, the price you see on-screen is the price you pay to rent, nothing more.

Keeping it Clean on the Dancefloor
After each silent disco headset hire we thoroughly clean all the headsets before they are packed for the next party. In addition to this, if hygiene is of big concern to you, we can also supply disposable headphone hygiene covers.
Our silent party rental equipment is thoroughly cleaned using anti-bacterial agents after every hire.
Lost, Theft or Total Damage
The vast majority of our audio hires run without a glitch. In the very rare case of either loss, theft, or total damage of rented headsets, we’ll calculate a final charge to replace the headphones, which will be;
- A reasonable market value of the kit, based on it’s age since we purchased it
- Plus, a one-off administration charge of £20.00 to re-order a replacement product(s)

With this in mind, if you’re working or travelling with our hire headphones, it’s well worth arranging suitable event or personal insurance for any potential loss or theft.
Other Charges
Missing or Damaged Accessories
If the headphones accessories (cases, cables, adaptors, etc.) are missing or damaged. To replace these accessories, we charge;
- Hard carry cases – £22.00
- Soft carry pouches – £18.00
- Leads – £10.00
- Adaptors – £10.00
- Instruction manuals – £10.00
Equipment Soiling
Light soiling will be cleaned free of charge and is part of our hygiene standards.
However, if the headphones are excessively stained (food, liquids, etc.) and its performance has not been affected, as a minimum we will charge a standard £20.00 cleaning charge.
If the item has been damaged by excessive soiling and or wear and tear (beyond what could be considered reasonable), the item may be identified as irreparably damaged and please see our section on Loss, Theft and Total Damage.
Collection
After your hire ends we’ll email you to confirm which working day APC Overnight can call to collect your consignment. Once we have those confirmed details, you’ll pack the kit and security seal it and we will email you APC Overnight label(s) for affixing to each tote container in your consignment.
Delivery
Unless you ask us to install your headphones kit, we use APC Overnight for all our UK deliveries and collections to and from your chosen address.
A first delivery attempt will take place at least 2 working days before your first day of hire. Collection can take place on an agreed day following your event, and this doesn’t have to be the next working day that follows your event. Rest easy.
